Ex-ballerina MALI LANG is lead investigator for the government’s shadow detective unit The Orbital Reconnaissance Bureau (ORB). She is hoping to retire when a privateer spacecraft is crippled, nearly killing the crew of three. 

 

When SONNY SHORT, the fireplug of an astro-scientist claims to have witnessed the alien craft, she is given an ultimatum: Join ORB or disappear. 

 

Stratosphere is a near future science-fiction mystery that follows the exploits of super sleuth Mali and her young, purple-haired assistant as they scour the globe  to find the threat and neutralize it.
